SMS Program

SMS verification & opt-in

How you opt in

  1. 1. Find your listing

Open your business listing on The Grant Map and choose to claim it.

  2. 2. Tap “Text me a code”

On your claim page you choose how to verify. If you pick text, you tap the “Text me a code” button directly beneath this consent notice:

  3. 3. Get one code, verify

Twilio Verify sends a single 6-digit code to your listing’s on-file business phone number. Its managed sender number or short code may vary. Enter the code to prove you control the line; it expires in 10 minutes.

What a message looks like

Your The Grant Map verification code is: 482913. Don’t share this code with anyone; our employees will never ask for the code.

Program details

  • Message type: one-time listing-claim verification codes.
  • Who receives it: only the on-file business phone after a contractor requests a code on that listing’s claim page. Never homeowners.
  • Message frequency: one message per accepted code request. A code expires in 10 minutes, and application-side cadence limits repeated requests.
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
  • Help or opt out: do not request another code and email support@thegrantmap.com to record an account-level block or request a manual claim path. Twilio or the carrier may also process supported replies to the managed sender.
  • Not a condition: consent to receive a verification text is not a condition of any purchase. If SMS is unavailable for a phone-only public-record listing, email support; another claim path may require manual review.
  • Privacy: No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes; text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service (Section 14).
