Registered Designated Agent

StanHattie LLC has an active designated-agent registration with the United States Copyright Office under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Registration alone does not determine whether the requirements of Section 512 are satisfied in a particular matter.

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on The Grant Map infringes your copyright, please follow the process below.

How to File a Takedown Notice

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work, describe the work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works
2. Identification of the infringing material, describe the specific material you claim is infringing and provide its location on our site (URL is best)
3. Your contact information, your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
4. Good faith statement, a statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
5. Accuracy statement, a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
6. Signature, a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf

Incomplete notices may not be processed. When we receive a compliant notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified as infringing, consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512.

Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe material was removed in error, for example, because you have the right to use it or it doesn't actually infringe copyright, you may file a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).

Your counter-notice must include:

1. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which The Grant Map may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice
5. Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receipt of a compliant counter-notice, we will promptly forward it to the original complainant. We will restore access no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice, unless our designated agent first receives notice that the complainant has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the disputed infringement.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), we maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts and listings associated with substantiated repeated copyright infringement. We evaluate the circumstances, including mistakes, retractions, and valid counter-notices; multiple notices alone do not automatically determine repeat-infringer status.

Good Faith

We act in good faith when processing DMCA notices. Submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice is a violation of 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and may result in liability for damages, including attorney fees. Please only file a notice if you have a genuine belief that your copyright has been infringed.
