The short version: Some labeled links or placements may earn us a commission. Contractor listings are free; contractors pay for paid leads they choose to accept. Labeled "Sponsored" local placements are advertisements. Commercial relationships do not change program screening or organic ranking.

Affiliate Links
The Ways to Save directory and relevant program pages currently include selected home-improvement retail links supplied through CJ Affiliate. Each active affiliate card is labeled as an affiliate advertisement before the outbound link and says that we may receive a commission if you buy, without adding a fee to your use of The Grant Map. Any other affiliate or referral placement must carry an equivalent label. A placement does not mean a program covers the product, that the price is best, or that a homeowner qualifies for funding.
Contractor Lead Fees
Listing and claiming a contractor profile are free. A contractor's first accepted compatible lead can use a free credit; later paid contact access requires explicit acceptance and a finalized one-time charge. Paying for a lead does not buy an endorsement, badge, directory rank, or finding that the contractor is licensed, insured, reliable, or suitable for a project.
Sponsored Local Listings
Some city pages carry a paid advertising placement from a local business (such as a lender, supplier, energy auditor, or contractor). These are always clearly labeled "Sponsored" and are bought by the advertiser. A Sponsored placement is an advertisement, not an editorial pick or a vetted recommendation, and it never affects which grant programs we show you or how we match you. We do not let sponsors change, reorder, or hide grant results.
How Commercial Relationships Affect Results
Affiliate commissions, accepted-lead fees, and sponsorships support the current $0 homeowner-use charge. We do not accept payment to add or recommend a specific program, alter program data, or move a program higher in screening results.
Program screening uses the location and categorical answers provided by the user. A displayed result is a possible match under those screening rules, not a conclusion that the program is current or that the user qualifies. Only the administering organization can confirm those facts.
Retailer and quote-partner placements are kept separate from program screening and labeled when compensated. They do not represent a finding that a program will pay for that provider's work or materials.
Our Opinions Are Our Own
Any opinions, recommendations, estimates, or editorial content on The Grant Map reflect our independent research and judgment. They are not influenced by any advertiser, affiliate partner, or paying contractor.
No Cost to You
Affiliate commissions and referral fees are paid to us by the retailer or partner; The Grant Map does not add a separate affiliate fee to your transaction. The third party controls its own prices and terms, so compare them before purchasing.
Third-Party Sites
When you click an affiliate link and leave thegrantmap.com, you enter a third-party site with its own terms, pricing, and privacy policy. We have no control over what happens on those sites. Always review a retailer's own policies before purchasing.
